Description

Presentation : native white grape variety representative of central Umbria. The wine is golden yellow; enveloping bouquet on the nose with varietal hints of peach and chamomile, savory sensations and great complexity. In the mouth it remains savory and structured. The Company : The Raìna winery is located in an area less marked by the historic companies of Montefalco. The company, in an organic farming regime and with a strong vocation towards biodynamics and naturalness, is run by the young founder Francesco Mariani. It is one of the few companies, in this area dedicated to business settings that aim more at traditional and in some cases conventional agriculture, that has decided to take the organic path with the most extreme declinations of natural. The vines, spread over about 10 hectares of recent planting, are those typical of the area: Grechetto and Spoletino among the whites, Sagrantino and Sangiovese for the reds. The experimentation with Syrah is interesting.
